The Renewable Energies division of GABITEL INGENIEROS is one of the company’s main strategic lines, in which, in addition to its contribution to sustainable development in numerous wind projects and photovoltaic plants, it has made a special effort to specialise in the green hydrogen sector in its responsible commitment to help transform the current energy reality to guarantee the promotion of decarbonisation towards a more sustainable future and contribute to the mitigation of climate change.

GREEN HYDROGEN
The hybridisation of renewable and hydrogen technologies is recognised as key to achieving decarbonisation objectives in different sectors, such as transport, industry and electricity, and as a substitute for fossil fuels.
For this reason, our Photovoltaic Department has been pioneering the training of our technicians in hydrogen technology, both in the extraction and storage process and its practical applications.
Due to its strategic location, necessary infrastructures and natural resources, Huelva is called to lead the so-called Green Hydrogen revolution, becoming the epicentre of numerous pioneering projects of this technology worldwide.
In this context, Gabitel has positioned itself on the Map of the Network of Entities for Green Hydrogen in Andalusia, drawn up by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Regional Government of Andalusia, which identifies companies already operating in the energy sector in the region, as well as business associations and clusters, R&D&I centres, research groups, training centres and economic and social agents that will operate synergistically to promote and accelerate the development and use of this technology as a source of decarbonisation.
Gabitel is part of the group of R&D&I, engineering, design or product concept companies, where it makes use of its more than 15 years of experience in the renewable engineering sector, especially in photovoltaic and wind power plants that complement hydrogen, backed by more than 85 renewable projects with a total power of 3 GWp in the last three years. This activity is complemented by High Voltage Engineering, Environmental and Permitting services.

PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR ENERGY
Our experience in electricity generation has been focused on the design, works management and sign off on renewable energy installations, mainly photovoltaic solar installations. We have collaborated in the design of dozens of solar farms, as well as the corresponding electrical infrastructure for medium voltage export to the electricity company’s network. Our clients include SUNEDISON, ENDESA INGENIERÍA, SOLAR PROJEKT, CAPITAL ENERGY, IDESA, and others.
